I still have feelings for him but how do i get over it?

ok, i had a crush on a boy in 5th grade and in 7th grade i told him i had a crush on him over the internet and his response was that's awww that's tough to get out and and said he doesn't like me but he still want to be friends. i'm still not over it yet but i understands it and all my friends said i change since that. what am i suppose to do?
