What could I have(cough)?

I have had a persistent cough with mucus for 2 1/2 or 3 weeks. I haven't felt sick at all. The cough started out mild and dry but as the weeks have gone by its gotten worse with more phlegm. Is it from the cold weather? my dad said i could have walking pneumonia...i don't think so though.
