Why is it we, or maybe just I, fear men in this way?

That makes sense somehow.. men are much more likely to be burglars than women.. Women can hold up a bank or a petrol station as well if they got a gun.. but female burglars who try to get into a house, doesn't happen often... and when we watch the news.. of course with a male burglar there could be more at stake than just losing ones valuables.. a man who breaks into a house may not do it in order to steal, he may know that a female lives there alone and he may break in with the attention to and not to steal.. so thererfore one has a good reason to fear male burglars a lot more...keep your windows shut if they are on ground level.. have a burglar alarm installed. Have your phone near you or your cell phone. but just be aware of possible dangers, don't become a nervous wreck now.. it's good to take precautions but that doesn't mean something will happen.. most likely it wont' but it's good to make the home as safe as possible from someone being able to enter.. and put a chain on the door... the front door.. and windows should be shut during the night if you are alone..
