Why won't Obama just tell Congress to get rid of all the pork or else he will veto the stimulus bill?

Probably because it was congress that helped put the pork in. It wasn't just Obama but all of the boys added a little poke to the salad. That is how the game is played all of the senators want a something for their state. Like a bridge named after them or a library, cushy jobs for their wives, sons and grandsons.Free trips around the world for their Proctologists, lawyers and mistress.
